Default 95 LT1 Spedometer/RPM Gauge

Ok, I have asked a lot of guys I know locally about this, and they are all LS1 owners, so they aren't sure. I was wondering if anyone knew about the gauges for the spedometer and RPM, if there were known problems with them. Mine will stick. The RPM gauge sticks all the time and rarely the spedometer will stick as well. I know the sound of my engine well enough to at least gauge when my RPMs go over 2, so I can adjust, but I am kind of worried about the spedometer. I am really hoping that it is not an electrical problem. This probably has nothing to do with it, but the light behind the panel is very dim as well.

Maybe its you instrument cluster, try finding a one from a bone yard to swap out just to test with. Yours doesnt have white face overlay's does it? I know that some not installed correcly can mess up a speedo needle.

no white face. This car is all stock when it comes to anything other than appearance, so I don't think any tinkering really messed it up. How much work am I talking to swap out that cluster?

Yeah the cluster will come out as a whole piece with lights and all. It simply has one input where the plug from the harness inserts to. that plug is mounted, so its just a tug on the cluster to release it after removing the sqrews around it. I think they are 8mm hex

what am I looking at for cost? is it worth it, or just leave it since it really doesn't affect anything (except for the rare occasion the spedometer doesn't work)?

throw adam's in there and see if it fixes it, if it does you have a bad cluster, if it doesn't could be wiring. nobody can predict whats wrong man, we gotta eliminate possiblities so we can figure out how much it will cost you

what do you mean, put Adam's in there? Not following that one.
As for the rest, I gotcha, I will talk with you as to where to get parts for things and such and how to do it. Thanks.
