if you absolutely refuse to use synthetic, use castrol GTX 5W-30 for sure. castrol GTX is probably one of the best non-synthetics out there, and a very affordable one that that, too. $9.97 for a 5 quart jug at wal-mart, can't beat it.

I have been using mobil 5000 (5w30). I think its a blend. Is this ok? I just bought the car with 60k. After reading this thread I think I might have made a bad choice

I've seen that Mobil 1 10-30 is not good. Now some people say to use 0-40 and others say 5-40. Which is it?

Also, is it ok to use these during the colder weather months?

i have to change my oil in this next week? i live in iowa so its a little colder weather. wat oil should i go with? mobil 1 5w-40 work? and then go with a 0w-40 in the summer?

i have been using m1 5w30 for 2 years without a prob. the way i see it is its a factory fill for other lsx vehicles so it must get the job done.
