shift RPM
? What is the normal shift range for an automatic 02 SS. When I stomp on it, from take off, mine starts to tack 6,000 and I havent got the nerve to push it any father, is that normal or what. Thanks

Your stock WOT shift points (if I remember correctly) are:
1-->2: 6000
2-->3: 5900
3-->4: 5900
Put the hammer down and let 'er rip!....and if you haven't been told/read this before, the stock tachometer is not very accurate. My shift points are 6400 rpm and my tach usually reads just a touch over 6600 when it shifts. My idle is set at 900rpm, but my tach reads ~1100.

You shouldn't be manually shifting your automatic car. They always run quicker when you let the computer shift it for you. Just put it in "D" and floor it, don't be one of those poser auto shifting guys.
For six speeds, shift as close to redline as possible, around 6100, just before the limiter.
