not to nitpick....again.....but the name of this very site is LS1TECH. by some people's definitions, that would mean technical questions on the LS1 only......JUST the engine. and yet there are handling/braking, racing, appearance, wheels, etc. And even other motors....LT1, L98, and so on. Everyone knows what LS1 means. sometimes its just easier to type that then 'hows a 4th gen f-body V8 trans am/formula/Z28/SS handle in snow'.

i also refer to f-bodies as either "ls1 body style" or "lt1 body style" sometimes, because i dont bother to mention either "early 4th gen" or "late 4th gen" in conversation, half the time they dont know what i mean anyway so i guess it doesnt matter...i really dont find using the term "LS1" in reference to things other than the motor as offensive...

I just busted out laughing when I read that. For some reason that statement is funny as hell.
As for the original topic, I often refer to my '98 Z28 as my "LS1 Car". Just seems to roll off the tounge quicker.
