It only took me 2 weeks to find a low-mileage, clean T/A WS6 with an M6. He wanted $18,500 originally. I haggled with the guy and told him I only could spend 17 grand and he finally buckled. I was pre-approved and he was not amused when the bank's check said "not to exceed $30,000.

lol man sounds like most people went through autotrader, carmax is ok but they want alot for thier cars. I remeber going on autotrader about 2 months ago when i was looking i must have spotted atleast 5 cars that I liked, and they were around the price I wanted to spend, but I didnt have my finances arranged like I do now. I have my truck right now and just put it back to stock so I have to sell that, not have a car for however long the transistion is. I would really like to sell my truck on autotrader or locally to get the most out of it, I would hate to see it go to some dealership and have a used car salesman talk about it that knows nothing about its history. ..........i hate used car lots!!. lol

but the one and only car that im working towards right now is looking somewhat as though im in the right direction 02 SS CME black M6....its sweet but the 2nd gear syncro out, but I already have the pricing from t56 of wat I need, and my dads friend has a shop down the road that i can pull the trans myself on and leave it there for a day or two on a lift that doesnt get much use. So hopefully i get this one.....Everyone cross ur fingers! lol

and thanks alot guys, this is by far the best tech/help/user friendly car site ive ever been to, i would buy a camaro just because of how helpful the other owners are

I live in Sweden and it took me about 2-3 months to find my car. And i found My 2002 black m6 ws6 with 23000k in Arizona 2004 and paid $20500.

The seller didnt even have a ad on the car. He was talking about selling it on Ls1.com, so i wrote him and he answerd. 2-3 weeks later i took a flight from Sweden to Phoenix and bought the car. Then i drove it to L.a and shipped it to sweden
Most happy day in my life when it arrived in sweden 1 month later.

Which is the best site to find cars that have private sellers?

I noticed the same thing. It's even harder to find one in good condition.

I looked on eBay. This was 4 years ago, didn't even have an eBay account. Saw a car I liked about $20k in Pensacola, signed up for eBay, bid on it, won the bid for my 2000 Trans-Am WS6 M6, then took a month for it to arrive in the South of England, then drive it home from the docks. Quite lucky it all turned out great as I only saw photos.

A few months later i sold my 3rd GenFirebird on eBay, the guy flew in from Sloviniea (Europe) picked up the car and drive home for 1200 miles.

I'm not saying eay is the best place to buy, buy its certainly good to get an idea of what the cars go for. If I was to do it again i would fly out to take a look at the car, as i dont think I could be lucky twice.

Oops. There's your problem.

Bought my last two over eBay. Great way to buy anything. Called him on the phone, hit "buy it now," went down there, drove it around and looked it over, gave him the check.

Year later, still loving the car and haven't had one single issue with it. Same exact story as my last Camaro.

Drove four hours one way for one Camaro, five hours for the other. Made a fun trip out of it both times. For the five hour one (my '94 white, black/red cloth Z28 M6), we had a hotel party.

I guess there is a plus point to this. If they are getting hard to find, those with one could be expecting the value of our cars to go up.

Ive got one im mind im going to look at on sunday. I understand alot of people do run these cars at the track, but if i was going to buy one how many passes would you say is safe enough to still buy the car. The one im going to look at on sunday needs the trans pulled and rebuilt though, but i already have EVERYTHING lined up, as far as where im going to pull the trans at (LS1 reputable shop) where im getting it done at T56rebuilds, and also having the shop mabey look the car over. Hopefully everything goes well.

Sorry about not trusting ebay guys but I honestly need to see a car in person more than anything, and see every blemish, i know every car is going to have one, but i want to see them in person.

Hopefully everything goes well, i did find some but they have been on there for a while and the sellers havnt returned my phone calls/email yet.

thanks a bunch guys

oh and i have been here since may yea......thats since when i have been looking for it/ performancetrucks.net ......i just like to browse lol
