The Birdies COST more when compared to the Camaros. $$$ WS6> SS, TA> Z28... Im not sure about the Formulas to be honest, i'd assume about the same as a Z28...

As a rule, Pontiacs were suposed to have a nicer interior than the Camaros, which i think is true IMO, but you'll find others who like the Camaro's interior better. Like said above, it's all personal opinion. But appearances are skin-deep... the real beauty is under the hood .

The interiors both came in leather as well as cloth both are prone to cracked dashes and T top rattle, its just GM's way of marketing it. Just b/c it costs more doesnt necesarraly mean its better. Camaros were a little cheaper, then you had the T/A's, and then the vettes.

J/K.. LOL. Seriously though, we all know threads like these just cause trouble, because there really is no right or wrong answer when it comes to appearance.

Alas, I have a lowly 1999 v6. But one day I will grab my dream car. How much do ram air hoods cost? Thats what i envy most abuot the trans am, so if they're like under 200 i might consider gettin one just for looks

I have seen the exact opposite with the trans am being more expensive. I bought my slp ss brand new at 18, a 2000, they tried to sell it to me for 37000, telling me that is one of the only fully optioned camaros sold in cali, not that I cared, I was eventually gonna change it all anyway, but when I went to get my Firehawk in 2002 brand new, 28000 out the door, only option it didn't have was the special firehawk wing that most don't anyway. I like both of my cars for different reasons, the camaro seems to be more of an older persons car, and the trans am seems to be more of a younger persons car, I'm talking in the terms of mentallity.

both are really nice damn cars. they are ls1, so ones not necessarily faster. go with what u like..i really do love the stance of the WS6!! but i cant stand the flip up headlights at all.. i do like the simple plain look on the camaros, which is why i went with the Z28!!

I orderd a Formula because my last 2 cars were Pontiac's `79 T/A `94 Formula.
I would have gone with the Trans Am but I didn't want leather or T-tops The standard Formula has everything a T/A has except Leather and T's but with a cleaner look IMO.
I also like the Camaro's clean look.

I agree.

If I was going to get another Pontiac F-body, I'd want to get a WS6 Formula, not the WS6 Trans Am this time around. I think Firebirds/Camaros are more my style than Trans Am ever was.....

i love both of them, but the back end of the firebird (2 me at least) is lookin less cool as time goes on. the ss spoiler looks mean and sexy, and the ss hood makes all the difference in the world. yea, the pontiac looks aggressive as hell, but a clean ss looks almost sophisticated...but still mean.

I love my TA and I like there look better, some V6 Camaros look like Chrysler Concordes from the front (chrysler probably ripped of the Camaros looks), both are legendary Muscle cars, the camaro has the long lasting fued with the Stang and it came out first and the Trans Am, well can we say THE BANDIT, KNIGHT RIDER. I love my TA but I would love an SS next to it in the drive way, so in the end an LS1 is an LS1 is an LS1

I also think it sounds so much more bad *** when you say "I drive a Trans Am"

hahaha talk to any young I-Roc owners and that kills that theory (sorry just everyone I know talks to much trash), plus I know alot of Trans Ams that are garage queens for peoples retirements.

I enjoy my doorstopper Sebring, thank you. Back when they came out, I loved the T/A WS6, but when it came time to buy an LS1, I had to have a Z28. Not sure why, I probably just went for the simplicity of it.
