Find the guy that posted the question, and look him up. Chances are he shot himself for being so ******* stupid. Either that or someone else did. (Probably someone from this board!) If he is still alive, you guys should sit around the campfire telling ghost stories, roasting marshmallows and engage in a friendly game of Russian Roulette.

Never tried it, but in Europe they pull all kinds of stuff with the tiniest unibody cars. Power obviously isn't a concern in our cars, but twisting the body up is if you try too much weight. I'm reminded of that old internet photo of the vw crushed by carrying plywood on its roof rack. A lot of old muscle cars have had towing hitches on them at one time though, but they are full frame cars. Check out the rust around where the hitch mounted to the bumpers on ones that haven't been rechromed at a carshow some time.

3 important words: CHECK THE WEIGHT!!!!! If you can pull the boat out of the water, than your biggest worry has been addressed. Just don't find out at the boat launch(as the cars rr end receeds into the water) that "Oh ****, I dont think this biatych i'll do it!!!". It might look kinda stupid, the guy with the vette and snowmobiles, just looks rich and really stupid

I towed a 15' center console with 70hp power trim motor with my supercharged 93 Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car with no problems at all. And even on a slimy boat ramp it had no problem pulling the boat/trailer right up the ramp without even spinning. I towed my 13' Boston Whaler jet boat with it for 3 years after I sold the 15' boat. The hardest thing is watching out to make sure your tailpipes don't go too far into the water! Here's a couple of pictures I took since I figured nobody would believe me back then. I'll be towing my current 15' Hobie Power Skiff with my 2000 SS.
