E.G.R and A.I.R...
So, I have been trying to figure this out for a while, what exactly is the purpose of the E.G.R and the A.I.R and are they really necessary to have? It seems like everyone that has swapped out headers has just tossed those parts so, what was the point?

I know part of it is to help the cats warm up faster.
No they are not necessary, as long as you plug everything up right its not gonna hurt the car at all. If you have the sniffer emissions test you need to make sure the car has been running for a 5-10 minutes to make sure the cats are operating at correct temp. If you have the obd2 then you have to get the codes deleted by tuning them out
