Miles
It had 147K miles. Got a new tranny/'verter/rear axle at 140K. 'Verter "just grenated and blew shrapnel all through the tranny one day"-previous owner. (YEah, I am betting neutral drops from redline did it, lmao.
I owned it until 170K miles and only replaced a turn-signal fuze/selenoid/whatever and a heater core. Car ran damn well. No issues what-so-ever. Always got asked if it was an 03' or 04' (in 04'). Lol. Car was immaculate. They were all highway miles he said and I belive him. car was tight, no rattles or anything unless you did 50+ over railroad tracks or something. Underside was perfect too, not all dinged up or anything.
If the car is well-taken care of, 4K is a good deal. Hell, a "new" T56/LS1 are only $3500 if you shop around and find a take-out from a totalled car. You have what..$7500 invested AFTER! a motor/tranny swap? If the body/interior are nice and she seems okay, go for it I say.
