if i punch it WOT, my check engine light comes on, (9 out of 10 times), so i took it to a friend and he said that the code said my car was running lean, just wanted to know what to do to fix the problem.

Post the code/codes and let us look at it. It may SAY its running lean and be fulla crap. An exhaust leak caused my rear O2 to say that once...

You really need the code(s) - could be lean on just one bank, both banks, etc. Any oily film on the wires?

lol if your maf is dirty you have other **** to worry about. check your vacuum lines to see if they are torn, wore or just not connected. then look for an exhaust leak infront of the o2 sensors. do u have a haynes manual? seems kinda noobish i know but some of the stuff in there is really helpful.

i would highly suggest that you 1. get the codes and 2. dont romp on it because if it is getting lean, could lead to not enough fuel and i think we all know what that means

I have a 2002 a4 w/ 80000 miles ...... this may be a stupid question but were are the Vacuum lines .... is the hoses that run off the brake booster .... are there any more vacuum lines ..... any help or advice would be greatly appreciate
