We've had E10 here in the midwest for as long as I can remember. That's all you can buy here. Hasn't caused any issues for me.

thats about all you can get around here. 92 octane 10% ethanol. there is one station that i know of that sells 93 with not ethanol but they charge about 30 cents more a gallon for it than everybody else. it doesn't really bother me though because they have had it around here for as long as i can remember. i don't notice a difference any more.

I noticed when i drove down to FL. in Nov. that B.P gas stations han 10% and my highway gas mileage wasn't as good as it was up north even though I was driving the same. I was wondering if that was bc of this.

10%, and E85 ethanal, actually makes less power and less mileage then real gas. it takes more fuel to produce the same amount of power that gasoline would make. theyre using it just because it uses less gasoline, regardless of the power or mileage. so an E85 motor running just E85 would make less power and get less mileage....but its supposed to be cheaper then pure gas, and uses less actual oil/gasoline

Well, think about it this way. Ethanol and Gas mix a little better than oil and water, but not by much. If you end up getting the top of the tank at the station, there is a lower % of getting as much ethanol, and vice versa for lower levels in the station's tank. But, I do not remember which one is lighter than the other. Either way, they do not mix very well at all.
