Default burnouts?????

i just wanted no how to do a burnout in my 99 z28. in my prelude i just pulled my e-brake and popped the clutch. i didnt want to do that in my z. i practiced by revving at 2500 and popping the clutch and pressing the brake. it didnt work i stalled. wonder wat im doing wrong. just didnt want to look like an idiot. now u no y i posted in a newbie tech. thanks for ur help.

make sure the tires break loose and the clutch is completely engaged before braking. you cant do it without going forward at least a little bit, unless you have line lock

rev it up a little more, pop the clutch, like 3.4 camaro said, make sure the back end breaks traction then slowly apply pressure on the brakes.

either that or you can do the roll back method...but some don't like that...aka i don't like that...makes it easier to mess something up.

rev a little higher then dump the clutch when the tires start spinning good hit the footbrake the ebrake will lock the rear wheels

I just figured out how to do that recently... It was scary at first but you really have to get into the brake good... that is after you get them spinning. It all happens real quick.

Don't get too crazy with the burnouts or you can pretty much guarantee that your stock rear end will take a ****. I had to have all the bearings and seals relplaced in mine at about 48,000 miles. I'd love to have 2 grand available for a 12 bolt I know that for sure.

I put my left toe's on the clutch all the way to the floor and my left heal is resting on the brake (just enough to not roll forward), rev it up higher than you are maybe 3500 or 4000, not sure the exact rpms my cars an A4 and my experience was in a 99 mustang gt once you've lifted the clutch almost all the way up start pressing your heel down on the brake keeping just enough pressure to stop from launching forward, drop the clutch completely and let the smoke fly, it all happens really fast and takes some practice my first try I killed it, second try I got it but felt like I was on a pissed off bull, 3+ tries and I've got it down easy
