Letting RPMs Hang
I "got on my car" last night through first and second gear. After about 4k RPMs in second I got off the gas and left it in gear to slow back to or near the speed limit for about seven seconds. Anyways my question is will a 02 LS1 run lean/rich when doing this. In my Roush Mustang when I did this my A/F gauge would light up and stay red (lean I believe). Can this cause any damage?

That's called engine braking and is perfectly normally.
Remember fuel won't be being added when decellarating else you'd still be accelarating, there's no other way.
