Default Lucas Tune Up in a bottle!

Anyone use this stuff. I used it on my 96 v6 firebird did wonders, just afraid to use it on my LS1. Anyone have decent results on this stuff? Its basically a upper cylinder lubricant and injector cleaner gas treatment..

I use Lucas in all my cars, it helps keep the injectors clean. Some even claim a mileage increase. I put it in my LS1, 103K and runs like a swiss watch, I wouldn't worry. I plan on running it straight into the engine through a vacuum line for even more cleaning.

You could always just Seafoam through the vacuum line if you want to really clean out your cylinder heads...

+1 Seafoam is the best for sure. You internals will be as clean as the day the car was made with this stuff. You will probably add to the large hole in the O-Zone layer though.

I've used the Lucas fuel additive before, can't say I really noticed a difference......unlike seafoam which noticeably improved my idle

Lucas is good stuff! I used to work at a Kenworth shop and these guys used this **** like it was going out of style. Both in the oil and fuel. Dont be afraid to use it. Theres not much it can F up.

CFCs were the main cause for the hole. CFCs have been banned for years. The only thing that still has CFCs (in the US anyway) are old refrigerants (old refrigerators and old ACs) and old propellants (old spray cans). As long as those old refrigerators and ACs stay sealed, don't leak, and the old spray cans aren't used, they aren't a problem. But sometimes they do leak or people illegally vent them into the atmosphere. I did some quick research. The hole isn't completely closed, but its not open all year either. Also its open duration has been getting shorter much faster than predicted. I cant find any info newer than a few years ago though.
