Default Some good minor mods

Hey guys. I own an 2002 z28 6 speed. I've had it for about a year now. All I have done so far is borla cat-back, 10000k HID kit, and Eibach sport line springs. I want to know what other basic mods I could do. I was thinking about SLP intake and SLP y-pipe. and oh yea the motor is in great condition. Only 42,000 miles and not beaten on.

Well a lid is good upgrade but not the y pipe. Unless your installing headers too, dont go with the slp pipe (wait to get headers and a ypipe that fits them good).

ok thanx, so no y-pipe until I get headers? Problem is headers are expensive as hell for the LS1!

He's saying dont bother with the Y unless you plan on headers because when you choose LT's you will want one that fits them. You may not plan on doing LT's now but its usually right down the road as they are restrictive and help a lot. Worth the money by all means. A lid, ported throttle body, and some sub frame connectors are good "cheaper" mods. Good luck

I would look into some suspension upgrades, you can find everything you need in that section of the forum

you can usually find a set of pacesetter long tube headers pretty cheap. you dont have to go with a set of real super expensive lt's to make good power

EDIT: btw, WELCOME

A lid has noticable gains and it's cheap too.

I put on some bilstien and didn't notice a significant change in the handling. If I could do it over, I'd keep the stockers until I was able to get some adjustable ones and do it right the firts time. my $.02 of course.

Port and polished throttle body is a cheap mod for how much you gain and also a lid would be the best bet, as everone else says

I wouldn't go SLP anything if you can avoid it. Their stuff can be well over-priced.

A simple lid/filter/ported TB & tune can be an admirable foe to many...

Want a little more...go with some pacesetter long tubes and ORY-pipe into your borla. The above combination could easily yield you 50+rwhp...all for less than $1000.
