everyone told me not to do a cut-out cause i have LM1 on my car, but i think every little bit helps. I dont have it any more but thats cause i was a in an accident and the exhaust was replaced. I had it before i did the headers and i think it helped just a tad up top but it felt like i lost alittle bit if low-end. I say do it. Dont expect a huge change in sound, just alittle louder in the deep points of the exhaust.
