Default Need a little help

My TA is mostly stock, i have a lid, K&N, descreened the MAF, and I have the stock exhaust but i cut out the muffler and y pipe..

What I need to know is, how big of a shot of nitrous can my motor handle with the stock internals/4l60e/10 bolt with 3.23 gears?

I tried searching but every time i tried it timed out...

Let me be the first to tell you not to go over a 100 wet shot. By the sound of it you are running open headers?

I have sprayed at least 20 bottle's at 150 wet with a f/p safety switch/window switch and a w.o.t switch with no problem's.

on a bone stock ls1. this was before the last round of mod's.

But it still took it with no problem's. plus i ran a 160 stat and colder plug's

spray the hell out of it.

if it blow's rebuild it and make more power

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'm more worried about the transmission than anything, its the original tranny and it has 117k miles on it... I dont plan on doing anything more that a 100 shot, more than likely I'll be keeping it at a 75 shot for now. (first time sprayer )

If your running stock headers be careful!!!! Just a little warning.. if you want to be safer with pretty much the same sound.. unbolt the I-pipe... and take out the muffler

the biggest thing on the tranny is keepin it cool,get a good cooler on it

My recommendation would be to run a 100 shot (wet kit). The stock ringlands
don't like much more than that. Of course, many people have sprayed much more...
including myself...but that is a risk IMO.

umm... what I-pipe and muffler?
