Have 87K on mine and all its doing is GETTING FASTER. Love my Z-28 more than any other car I have had (have had many Euro, and Japanese). Bigest issue for me has been a chirping sound coming from the exhaust after a exzhaust leak repair following a cam and spring swap*yeah baby*. Still trying to figure it out.

I just drove a 98 back 350 miles this weekend. Drove up there to buy it and on the way back it never even flinched. Almost 5hours with 2 stops and not one single issue. I love the car and cant wait to start modding it.

Dam, $8 to $9 a gallon. I feel for you, seriously. Mine has 81,000 miles and after ton of maintenance (flood damage salvage) it is as strong as ever. Even with all of my mods I still get beter hwy milage than my 04 F150 ( our company has corporate deal ford so I get a great deal on trucks, and I love it, but when it comes to speed I am all about a bird) Hopefully it will last another 81k . ( just rebuild when the engine gives up)

i work in a daimler chrysler services, workshop-spare part and more.. the dodge's interior are horrable, the 05+ grand cherokee's dashbord is the cheapest pile of plastic that i have seen,

but i also thnik that latest years american cars have bin gettin alot better in many ways, many ears ago almost every car here where american... than after the 80's they almost disapeart and only american cars where suvs and "sportcars" like stangs.. Fbodys and corvettes, but since like 2003- some interesting cars have bin coming out, like the dodge magnums & chrysler 300c and more,
and the price is just a joke compared to the euro cars, but then agen.. it is a reason for it,

but its difficult to try to make my point here.. whe live at wery wery diffirent place's with diffirent culture, and the gas price here is 8-9$ for the gallon

there are alot of old muscle cars fans here, and latest years peaple have bin inporting more of american cars than usual,

yeahh.. i know my english suck's

i'd definately be broke if i lived there!

Don't know what to tell you Mr Thule, but I've got 81K on my 2000 Z28 and have made probably 2 dozen dragstrip passes and still have the stock clutch, stock brakes, stock battery. Car has never been in the shop for a single thing. Only out of pocket unexpected fix was the driver side window motor which was $35 and an hour of my time.

I've never heard of a spun bearing in an LS1....

I agree with you guys, but our cars weren't exactly made for luxury like Mercedez and BMW and so forth, therefore do not carry the price tag to I dont feel its a fair comparison. For what you pay for an F-Body I feel its one ofthe best bargains right now for a modern performance muscle car. If you cant start your car without something going wrong then I think you have a Lemon.

But for me I feel I can depend on my car very much so to always get me to where I need to go and back home, If I can get that out of a 350HP muscle car then thats awesome, I dont regret buying my WS6 one bit.

Just broke 100,000. I bought this car new from a dealer in Seattle. It lived in the PACNORWEST rain for 2 years then I brought it here to San Diego. I replaced 2 power window motors and the battery once - Typical. A new clutch at 78,000 and a new alternator at 95,000. Not too shabby.

I wish I could match your 30mpg's. I'm about to go to DFW this weekend and w/ premium running 2.89 it would sure help! I'm guessing in the 25-27 range (AC might be on a little)!
