Default 450hp in a LT1???

How would i get 450-500hp in a LT1? I'm just curious... i'm thinking about getting one... let me know the best ways and the price figures plz! thanks folks!

people seem to think the LT1's are hard to get good power from. as stated, a good heads and cam package and you should push some high numbers. Add some exhaust stuff(Lt's and catback or true duals, intake and tune and you'd be good for some big numbers. The head as what hold the LT1 back.

there's always a bottleneck somewhere... but I hear great things about the GM847 cam in making some Nice numbers.

people just done think LT1s are desirable any more because the market is slowly fading away from it(same for the original LS1) and are very hard to work on comnpared to the LS1 and are not as responsive to modifications compared to the LSx type motor.
