any truth to this? can cut outs damage your pushrods and or hydrolic rolling lifters?
No, there is no truth to that.

Ask him how guys with an exhaust like mine (longtube headers, 3" duals with straight through bullet mufflers, no cats) that have even greater flow than a cutout on a standard size single exhaust get away with it...

I can't believe how the true duals can flow better than the cutout.... !!

It seems weird to me..

If you're going to keep your stock y pipe and manifolds, I'd say Loudmouth. Nothing sounds nastier (in a good way) in my opinion with stock manifolds/y pipe. If you might be going with headers down the road, I think the Magnaflow would be your best choice. Those new quad tips are sexy too

To the original poster: I have had two different LS1 cars. The first one I had longtubes, ory, and a Hooker catback. The next one I got, which is the Black WS6 in my sig, I got the same exhaust again. I loved it that much!

Well, after some time went by, I got a cutout for it, then heads/cam. I didnt like the power loss with the cutout closed, as well as how much quieter it was through the muffler. So I wanted a setup that had good power, and sounded good all the time. Solution for me, was true duals with single chambers. I havent been this happy with an exhuast setup in my life. Sound clip in sig if you want to hear it
Yo BriancWS6 that is one of the best sounding cars I have ever heard, much props on your setup, if you got any more clips please PM me.

I would go with Slp. I have a 01 SS with headers and a loudmouth and it sounds mean.

IMO headers, no cats, and loudmouth =

Anybody considering this setup needs to listen to it in person. Do not spend money for this setup until you have heard it IN PERSON. Some like it, many don't.

I made the mistake of buying longtubes and an off road Y-pipe when I had the loudmouth catback. I was 19, and I loved the loudmouth, and I wanted it loud. As soon as I put the headers on I realized that loud is not necessarily good. I immediately made an appointment with LS1 Speed to have their duals installed. Couldn't be happier!

On LS1sounds the SLP sounds loder but the Magnaflow sounds better IMO. I've never heard either in person and was wondering how much louder is the SLP than the Magnaflow?

We agree on something! Ha, but seriously i love my TD setup also. I got my TD setup, 3" x pipe, and 2 flow pro twisters for i think.. 200 or 300 installed. That's darn good for a TD setup IMO. Then again, your probably going to want to dump it before the axle so if you like tips out the back, think twice.

I have a Corsa setup right now and I love how it sounds, but I also have a true duals, xpipe with 1 chambers waiting to go on when I get my long tubes installed.
