Default cam swap.

please here me out. I am doing a 5.3 swap into my Blazer, I was woundering if it is worth it to swap my stock 01 t/a cam into the 5.3 since it will be just sitting on the floor in the shop. I can't see it taking more than 1 hour with the motor out of the truck.

It is not worth the time IMO but it will work if you want to do it.

would be a moderate performance improvement in the 5.3, just because of the cam spec difference
01 t/a = 196/207 dur @ .050 116 LSA .467/.479 lift
5.3L = 191/190 dur @ .050 114 LSA .457/.466 lift
longer duration and increased lift would allow more air in and more air out which = hp
