I wouldnt try to put it on if its cold out. Mine went right on with no problems. If you have to take a hair dryer to it and heat it up. Wont hurt anything. Try twisting it as you put it on and make sure that you line everything up.

If you have a knock off bellow, and not the SLP one, it will be kinda difficult to get it on unless you do a little fabrication work. I had to do some cutting on mine but after that it went on smoothly.

I had an SLP bellow on my Z28, went on easy. On my Formula I tried a Fernco, but I cut too much off it, so I made myself like the stocker.

A warning to you guys, using the Fercno: Be careful if you have an aftermarket lid as it can cause it to twist and crack. I tried the Fernco for a little while but it made my MTI lid not sit right so i just went back to the stocker. The problem with the Fernco is it doesn't bend and flex like the stock rubber piece, so it ends up putting stress on your lid. It would be a sad day to see a 5 dollar piece of rubber cause your 100 dollar lid to break.

Thats why I have my stock bellow back on, the SLP broke my Whisper lid. But the best way I installed a smooth bellow was attach the lid,MAF,and Bellow all together first before clamping to the TB. then once the clamp is tight to the TB its just a small tug on the lid to slip the tabs in to the airbox.

I feel your pain, when I bought my ws6 new my badge was already dull, My wifes ws6 when she got hers was super shiny. In my mind I was like WTF. But you can take a metal polish like mothers to it with a cotton terry towel and go at it. the badge will clean up very nice. Just make sure you rinse all the polish off of it when finished and then wax the badge from then on. hope this helps instad spending 100.00 on a new badge

This is exactly what I did/had to do when I did my lids. It is the safest way to put it all together, and it makes it easier. I forgot to mention this earlier too.

yeah you could fine a new red ws6 badge on ebay for like 80.00, but what i did with mine was use a metal polish with my finger wrapped in a terry towel and went to town with it. Then I repeated it again followed up with normal car polish on it. I mean if you really want to get that High polish I guess you take a dremel with a polish bit and do that first.
