Ok im putting a stock LS1 with A4 in my 1993 without S-10 and i was wondering how can i get around 400-500 hp out of the engine.

400 fwhp (flywheel horsepower) can be managed easily w/ just a cam & headers

and some people get 400 wheel horsepower with the above, usually bigger cammed a4's can

are you saying 400 on top of what the ls1 makes already or 400 total?

400 even could be hit with a simple heads and cam package, and it will live a nice long life.

now if you are wanting 600-700 hp level well then there really is no safe way to get that on a stock motor, but if you build one up it could tackle the job quite easiely.

You can get 400+ rwhp out of an LS1 with a big cam and bolt-ons.

400 hp at the wheels is just a heads/cam package away. Get a nice set of heads like some TEA's or your choice and a decent size cam, your well over 400 at the wheels or if you have a large stall you are at 400 at the wheels.

To begin with do full bolt ons that will get you around 350ish
Then either a mild cam and heads
Forced induction
Little Nitrous

There is SO many ways to get 400 hp outa a ls1 its a very broad question, search around and you will find ALOT of ways it can be done, just a matter of which route you wanna go
