weird knocking....

weird knocking.... i was running my car at the track and i started hearing a quiet knock then after about the 4th run it started getting worse at first it sounded like it was coming from the rearend then as i was driving home it sounded like it was right under me maybe the transmission its reall loud now my friend was in the car next to me and he could hear it...when i push in the clutch it stops...does anyone know what it might be??

someone else has told me the throw out bearing too but another guy says my pressure plate lost a counter weight so i have no idea what it might be so any suggestions and prices to fix it may help please
