I was having a convo with a fellow GM owner, and he said the 5.3L heads off the vortec truck motor, Suburban, Tahoe..etc will bolt right up to the LS1 and actually out flow them, and make more power???

-I'd never heard of anything like this and I wasn't doubting him but is there any truth to this??

Im pretty sure there is truth behind that. Most head and cam packages to begin with start out with a 5.3 head instead of an LSX head. So it must be true.

No, that's not exactly true. The reason people run the 5.3 heads is for the bump in compression. The heads are ported as well, not just "bolted on".
