SES light on. I got it scan and this is the code.
Code : P0157
Code : P0137.
I got these codes scan at autozone. They mentioned that it was the o2 sensor going bad.
My car has 60k on it. I just bought the car 2 days ago. I notice my car has a catback exhaust.
I don't understand why the light came on?. Is there a way to fix these?
Thank you guys.

I am not sure. But I just bought the car from the dealer. I believe this car has a catback. not sure if it's the off road y pipe, B/c after I turned the car off everynight. I can hear the cat. So i doubt it. But I might have to check again.
But why didn't light go off before though?. Why did it just come on?.
It's been like 600 miles since I got it from the dealer. the car has 61k on it.

Look up the codes/diagnostics at www.gearchatter.com If you bought it from a GM dealer bring it back, they should look at it for free. Both are post-cat codes, so it's fine to drive until you get it figured out.

So it's probably from a catback(y pipe) I would assume?.
But No, I did not buy it from a GM dealer. But how do you clear the code?
But since i'm thinking of getting the lt headers+ true dual anyway. Should that matter?.
Although I do need to get my car inspect (MA)... first. So how do you clear the code, Just so they can get me the sticker. Thanks

Agreed with DisturbingDaPeaze. Put on some O2 sims so no matter what you do to your exhaust, your ECM will think you have healthy cats working 24/7. You will still have to have the code cleared though. I work at a dealership so I just grab a Tech 2 on slow days and clear out the code myself for free. Autozone might be able to clear the codes out with their scanner. But after that, say goodbye to the SES light.

Go to autozone and buy the little OBDII code reader they have. Its not very expensive and you WILL have future use for it later on.More sensors down the road will eventually go bad and you will want to find out what codes you are getting. The little scanner will be able to read codes and clear codes. But obviously if there is something wrong, the codes will keep coming back until the problem is fixed or:
Like said, also buy a set of O2 sensor simulators (O2 sims) used from the classified section of the board and install them (very simple to do). They will eliminate the O2 sensor codes from coming back especially when you do long tubes and Y pipe.
Good luck
