Depends what you want and how much cash you got....

All i can say is study this site before buying anything, just like those bellows i personally think that's the biggest waste of cash on these cars. But if you're wanting it for looks i suppose to you it could personally be worth it.
Like me, i bought hooker LT's and instead could've bought pacesetters for 200$ less and had the same thing....didn't study up.
Heads shouldn't hurt reliability.
Heads should also match the cam you're getting, so you might wanna figure that out too. (took me over a year to decide)
The best advice i've ever gotten on modding my ls1 is stick to a plan and follow through, don't randomly mod this and that, stick to say .... airflow (lid, intake, cat back, headers ) check, move on...plus doing that stuff for the cam is important, like tainted said they are all supporting mods.

Yep, nada. Its sole purpose is cosmetic. I went back to my stock bellow.

Ok. Well, that's better than what I was going to buy: that whole "Flow-pac" thing that SLP has. Right before I was about to order it, I saw someone mention it in the newbie mod mistakes thread. So I searched for it, and found out it draws air up from underneath the car or something - not what I wanted at all.

So, now I have to convince my dad that headers are something I need to do. He's so gun shy about them, because he's always had bad luck with them. He wants to get to 400 (Flywheel) HP, but I keep telling him that it's pretty much impossible without headers. But still, he just doesn't want to do it right now. The only way I might be able to get it done is if a shop does it, but who knows how much that will be.

But if he still doesn't go for that, I could just save up for an underdrive pulley instead I guess.

Good advice here.

I will say this regarding the heads though: it won't hurt reliability, but it will increase maintenance.

If you want a 100% reliable car, or at least as reliable and relatively maintenance free as a stock car, don't start modding beyond simple bolt ons and other basic upgrades(tires, shocks, etc).

Yeah, I don't plan on going into the engine until after college.

Speaking of suspension, I have a question or two about control arms.

Are they worth it, will they help me hook up better?

Does my Firehawk's suspension (Bilstein package) come with them already?

Are they simply thicker than stock ones? because my dad works at a welding supply store, we could do some welding and strengthen the ones that are already on there if it would have the same outcome.
