new ls1 owner with wiring question hi, just picked up a 1999 ls1 from a camaro with the wring harness. i am puttingit in a rock buggy with a powerglide behind it and have to order a transfercase now for the project. my question is do i need to get a transfer case with a vehicle speed sensor or can i do without it. i do plan on having the harness modified and the computer reflashed. will running it without a vss with the new programming confuse the computer or do i need it. very new to this so thanks for any advice you can give.

I think you would need a working vss only if you have an auto tranny that is computer controlled. The vss also works on cars that have abs and traction control which I'm sure you don't.
