Well the "LS6" that you have in the car (as far as I can tell from your post), is merely the block. Nothing too fancy or different (coolant passages I believe, and it's darker...). There is a sticky somewhere on this board that says how to find out if you have the block. Since you say you do I imagine you already looked. Now comparing long block to long block, that's another story...

you have a LS6 block, doesn't really do anything. Becuase you still have the standard LS1 cam and heads

Yeah, LS6 engine didn't end up in F-Bodies from the factory. You have 241 heads, not 243's, and the cam is different. You could have an LS6 block though.. but all that really has is better oiling. Same strength as an LS1 block. Cranks, rods, pistons are the same.

Saying you have an LS6 makes you sound like you dont know whats goin on. Edit it accordingly. LS6 = 400hp that you dont have.

You don't have an LS6 engine. You do have LS6 intake manifold and about 20% of the engines made that year have the LS6 block. You can't tell unless you can read the number on your block, which ain't easy to do. The block number would be 12561168 if it's LS6. And most importantly, if it IS LS6 it adds zero, zip, nada, to your power.
