Question window motor help

i have a 99 camaro. when i roll down the drivers window it stops after rolling about 3 inches. if i wait a minute then try again it will roll another 3-4 inches. the longer i wait the farther down it'll roll...
do I need a new motor for the window or somthing else?

Window motor needs replaced.......$55 plus shipping from Autozone or your local one might have it in stock, free labor if you install it yourself...

See THIS link on the "How To".

Have fun! First one took me 2 hours, after that, smooth sailing. if your panels are already drilled then it won't take you long.

yeah, took me an a buddy about an hour or so, from start to finish on the first time. alot of people say that they had to make sure something held the window in-place so it didnt fall, but....i didnt have that problem? it was the passenger side, so maybe thats why..

either way, its a fun install. bloody fingers, busted knuckles, pissed-off attitude, etc.. all in fun

*edit* jblindy - wut kinda rims are those in ur sig?

Don't forget the fiberglass all up in your hands/arms because you had to drill thorugh the panel!

That took at LEAST a week to get out, and I tried a bunch of stuff to removed it from my bod.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yea, don't get those, spend the extra money at Autozone with the lifetime warrantny. If you do a search here, you'll find that the eBay motors do NOT last long (yes, they might be lifetime but you'll replace MORE).

I have done many of these. Now I keep extra motors on the shelf in my garage. My passenger needs one now. It is easy if you follow the instructions. Takes about 2 hours..

i had changed on both doors...hardest part was to take the old ones out coz they were riveted but on new ones i put nut bolts...so will be easier for future replacements ,.....dont belive those window motors
