Need Some Quick Help Just got done installing my SLP lid, all is good except I am unsure if I should have a foam/weather stripping piece on it, the car has a K/N with a big lip but i just want to be sure.

The K&N filters come with a gasket to place in the air box lid. This gasket is required for all lids, to ensure a proper seal between the lid and filter because the filter is slightly smaller in thinkness than the stock paper filters. If it was easy to clamp the lid down, I wouldn't think that the lid is sealing to the filter, thus, you need the gasket. You can get a replacement by calling K&N and telling them that the airbox lid was changed and that you need a new gasket, and they'll ship one to you UPS.
