6-speeds are more fun to drive on the street. If and when I start putting down 475-500+ RWHP I'll just upgrade to a built TH-400. I wouldn't build up a 4L60E to handle that kind of power anyways.

I would. Rossler, FLT, RPM and Performabuilt have all made 4L60E's that can handle 500-600 rwhp. They will all claim they can handle more than that but I personally make 600 rwhp my cutoff point. After that I agree that TH400, powerglide or 4L80E would be a better way to go.

Huh? I have almost no idea what you are talking about.

So far my first 2 mods are ordered.1-Magnaflow catback (loved it on my 2000 WS6),2- MTI clear lid.I'm going to wait until early next year to do TC and headers

I don't think I'll be doing more than a cam swap in the near future (1-3 years). Should make around 420 RWHP on stock heads. The car is a street/strip car now so my stock T-56/10-bolt/3.42's will do for now.

As far as automatic upgrades are concerned, if I was making over 500RWHP I would probably go TH400 over 4L60E because at that point who knows what the future may hold I wouldn't ever want to swap transmissions twice in the same vehicle
