I've used water + water wetter in my last 4 cars to great success. Problem is you have to flush it out before winter and go back to antifreeze.

If you're looking for pure cooling efficiency, anti-freeze is worse than straight water. I personally run close to 50/50 water/antrifreeze and toss in a bottle of water wetter as well. Water-wetter also has some anti-corrosive properties to it.
OK, I have done some experiments in college with coolant and antifreeze. when It comes down to it I'm pretty sure the extreme racers use straight distilled water. But if you're NOT an all out race car than there is no reason to do that. Antifreeze + water 50/50 is the best all around for all driving conditions. The last thing you want is to ruin your engine or to get rust or corrosion deep into your block. if your engine is over heating, you have problems, If your engine is overheating due to some extreme engine mods, then get a big deisel radiator THAT IS THE best solution.

Most F1 cars use Evans Cool along with
Nascar ECT. Not all but most. There is a guy on here called urban legend that is an F1 engineer I would ask him if you want to know.

Evans is in fact a waterless coolant..

Also with evans you do not neef the system to be pressurized. So you could actually run it w/out the cap on...They recommend goin to a rad. cap w/ a lower spring rating

i voted water because the question was "what cools the best"...

but I wouldn't run strait water in my car.

water + water wetter = summer
50/50 water/antifreeze = winter

If i ran straight water in mine it would heat in short order. Ive tried everything to keep it cool. With mine it took a combination of things but the Evans seemed to be one very important thing. When I added it the temps took a dive.
