Does less weight make a BIG difference?
i would say i have dropped at LEAST 100 lbs off my car an i havent really taken any type of safety equipment(ie air bags, bumper supports) or anything that would hinder the handling of the vehicle (ie front sway bar)
this is pretty much everything i've done to lighten my car
Remove spare tire and jack-an easy 35lbs
Remove EGR and AIR-around 5-10lbs i think
Longtube headers--not sure what they weigh but definitely alot lighter than the stock manifolds
Remove the little wavy plate from underneath the car--good for a couple pounds
Removed cat-back an went to a True-dual setup--definitely much lighter than a cat-back
Replaced battery with an Odyessy 11lb battery--big weight savings here
Before I did alot of this, my car weighed in at 3680 lbs with me in it, at this time the only thing I had out was the spare tire an jack so stock weight for my car was over 3700 lbs with me in it, my car now weighs 3600 lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas.
