on that 224/224 i wa slooking at from texas speed, that would be a good buy correct, i mean its almost i mean its 600 plus, but you essentially get everything you need to do a proper cam instal, correct me if im wrong, also with the 224 if i want a somewhat lopey but not to annoying sound what lobe seperation should i go with 112 or 114 i want it to be noticeable but not overbearing.

112 - choppy
114 - not soo choppy

This is GENERALLY the outcome, some people will agree while others won't. Do the logic for yourself, a tighter pattern (112) is gonna mean more overlap, causing the choppy effect.

Depends on what cam you buy. You could get a TR224/224 114 lsa, and it would sound like you just got a new exhaust system.

You get like a Magic Stick cam, your **** will sound like it is about to die everytime it is at an idle.

From what i've gathered, the 224/224 114 lsa cam doesn't affect gas mileage hardly at all, and the drive-ability is great. You also get a great HP gain, I've seen 380is rwhp from this cam, add some decent heads to it, and you'll see over 400rwhp easily.

CAM in sig....

What I noticed, I've been driving with my current setup since June 1:

Advantages:

1. MORE POWER! Especially low end, car takes off like a bandit and is LOUD!
2. More looks my way, thumbs up from every other NON-LS1 Car
3. Wakes the neighbors up on a Saturday morning at 5:30am

Dis-advantages
1. Gas milage plummeted (from 25+ Hwy to 18 Hwy).
2. It's now my weekend car (economy reasons)
3. Can be a BIT loud (got used to tho)
4. Constantly stalls in Reverse... (tuning issue probably/shift points)

But it's FUN! Nothing like this car when you floor it and your body literally goes staight to the back of the seat.

Worth the money!

I got a 228/230 and my gas mileage it good plus the power and sound is awesome. Honestly I don't see a disadvantage if you get a good tune you should have no problem.
