i think speedinc sells the blockoff plates, not 100% on that tho, dont bother with the coolent lines, just grind the ribs off on the bottom of the LS6 intake.

When I did my swap I called speed inc. and asked if they could price match texas speed on the price of the crossover plugs. They told me they could not so I ordered them from texas speed. I ended up taking a small electric orbital sander and just sanding off the ribs. I figured the cross over set can just wait till I move up to a fast 90/90. I vote do the rib removal.

Just remember if you plan on doing the ls6 valley cover you'll need the coolant lines anyways

Do yourself a favor and buy an oil sending unit... huge chance of you breaking it on accident. I did my swap on a sunday, and when it broke, I couldnt get another sensor until late monday... I think the $25 it costs is worth paying for and having JUST IN CASE. If you dont use it, you can always return it.

you wont break it if you unhook the brake booster hose from the brake booster before you try in pull the intake out. then, when your pulling it out, keep your hand on the end of the hose and make sure it doesnt catch. i didnt have any problems. i just found the sending unit before hand and kept it in mind.

I didn't break the sending unit either. I don't know why that's such a common problem. Maybe people are just trying to rip the intake out of there or something, but just disconnect the hose from the booster first and as you carefully and slowly shimmy the intake out, keep a hand on that hose to make sure it has some slack. It's not hard. As for the coolant lines, I didn't screw with mine. I found that using a chisel to break off the ribs on the bottom on the LS6 intake was the easiest way.
