You need to purchase the whole kit.

The SLP upgrade kit is only for people that purchased the metal SLP cold air kit which is different than a plastic SLP air lid which sits above the air filter assembly. If you need a further explanation, just give us a call and we would be happy to assist you.

Thanks

Yes, you would still buy the whole kit. The FTRA goes under your air filter. It has nothing to do with the lid.

We already have them on sale but if you are in the military (and have a military email), we'll give you another 5 % off if you order this week.

Thanks

You guys sold me.....I'll be ordering one soon, I'll call it a XMas present for the 'Bird.

Actually, I've planned on getting one since before I even owned the car, just haven't had the time/money to do so yet.

How does the FTRA compare to the SLP version?

The SLP kit is really only a cold air kit as it does not directly route air into the air box. The FTRA is a true ram air kit and brings cold, high pressure air right off of the lower air deflector on the car into a sealed air box. The FTRA also includes a block off plate to disable the kit, a removable front seal (the SLP is glued on) and provides superior sealing.
