if you are worried about the little noise the pro 5.0 makes then dont ever get a cat back or long tubes. it makes just a little vibration noise that isnt even there all the time and after a couple of days you get so used to it, you dont even notice it.

Well the stick is just that, a Stick. The short throw shifter is what that stick actually bolts to. It is the pivot point from which the stick actually controls what gear your going into.

Short Stick is basically a small metal shaft one end bolts into the shifter, the other of course will have the ****. These usually come in length's of 6 to 6.5" and is a very easy and quick bolt on replacement for the stock OEM stick (oem's are 8" long).

Short Throw means that when you shift between gears the distance and time required to go from one gear to another (in order!) is less than a standard shifter. Shifters that have this feature involve a pivot that is shorter than the stock or standard shifters. This allows for better shifts (less time and distance to go from one gear to another), and improved performance (driver) at the track. It's common to purchase a short throw shifter with a short stick, or you can purchase the shifter seperate and build your own short stick.
