Default First time to track! 98 auto Z 273's!

Hey guys, after all my posts about my car being slow, i went to the track and ran a 13.70 102.81 mph! I know its not tht fast, but i was honestly expecting like a 14.1. i have a 2.103 60 foot w/ 273s, is tht decent?

thats almost exactly what my car ran on its first 1/4 mile pass too. bone stock 13.72 at 103.5 mph with cut out only. my TSP cat back netted me a tenth over the cut out. i need a tune bad...friggin torque management makes it shift like crap.

First mods for these cars should be a FULL tuneup.

Motor Oil
Tranny Fluid
Plugs
Wires
Fuel Filter

Good times. The best I've ever could in a 2.73, full exhaust, lid, free mods w/o stall and gear change was 13.1-13.2

Great times in my opinion. 2.73s are horrible for the track. I went once with header/lid and ran a 14.2. With the cam/stall it's mid 12s allllllll day and I still have the 2.73s.

93-02. LOL.
Some have the option GU5 with the 3.23 gears and other automatics have the GU2 with the 2.73 gear option. ALL M6 cars came with 3.42 gears.
