Default need help with blinkers

i saw a thread a while back about blinkers but i couldnt seem to find it.

but my left blinker went out and i thought it might of been becuase of my left fog light was out. but then i noticed when i was driving during the day only my right parking light(little orange light on the front) would stay on but then when i turned the dial to the P the left one came on so i thought hmm maybe it is the bulb so i replaced the bulb on the left parking light and it still wouldnt turn on when i started the car, untill i turned the dial to P and then i replaced the right parking light becuase i didnt want one to be brighter then the other and i was driving down the road and i used my right blinker once and then it didnt work any more, and now both of my parkign light dont turn on when i start the car and onley turn on when i turn the dial to P

please help it is anoying

thanks - ADAM

i would check the sockets thoughs types of bulb sockets have been known to burn or melt and get bad connections.

what he said

just had this happen to me almost exactly what your saying

the bulb didnt break it just melted at the bottom, cleaned it out best i could and stuck the new bulb in anyways. also make sure you push it al the way down, sometimes it feels like its all the way down and it isnt. youll know for sure when it bottoms out.

The fog lights won't have any effect on the turn signals.

I think the turn signals were as well designed as the power window and headlight motors. The sockets are going to burn from the heat of the bulb. I replaced both front sockets on my car and they mostly worked for a couple weeks. Now they barely work at all. I think I need to resplice the wires and seal them.

Autozone has the sockets for about $8 (GM wants $32), the part number is 85881.
