well could you do it.. sure... but your not gonna see ne where near the full potential of that large cam, and without supporting valve train mods, you wont be able to safely rev to the rpms you need to, in order to take full advantage of the cam. plus the ls1 intake kinda craps out at higher rpms as well.....
in short, sure you can do it, but i dont think you'll be happy with the results...
if ne thing at least put on a set of budget headers and ory... you have a lid, you'd be fine with that...
then when you get more money (if thats the issue) upgrade your manifold to a ls6, port the throttle body... u/d pulley etc i fyou want.
but i wouldnt do a cam like that without at least full exhaust...

First things first....bigger isn't always better. My tuner took a guy's 02 SS with a 383 and MS4 that was fully tuned, changed nothing else except installing a custom grind Crane Cam the was smaller and picked up an additional 30whp.

Formula and assassin are right. No supporting mods, no valvetrain, no power. You'll see a gain, but not the kind of gain that I think you are looking for. TREX cam loves to rev and without the valvetrain to support those rpms, all that will happen is youll gain midrange and lose your bottom end.
