Deer huh. Looks like it was wrapped around a tree. I want to see pictures of the deer now.
However it wrecked it sure is fubar. Glad your brother walked away.
Most people who have switched to a goat say it is a completely different car. Is that what you want?

i have a camaro now, and am considering getting a gto or cts-v next. i need a bit more room but still want the rwd and lsx setup. i would say test drive what you want for a while. its a big desicion, but in the end the only person that needs to be happy is you!

ANYWAY, I did just the opposite as the OP about a month ago, I totalled my 2006 GTO M6 w/ 6000 miles and ended up getting my 99' SS. Overall of course i am not happy with what happened, my goat was my pride and joy but I am very surprised by how much my SS has grown on me. first off, the GTO's interior is not even comparable to the F-body, it is much closer to that of a BMW. The exterior isn't anything to write a book about, but it isn't much to frown upon either....when 03/04 cobras or modded gt's or f-bodies pulled up next to me at a light and asked "Is that some kinda 2 door grand prix" id answer by "why dont you run me and find out, usually beating them and sending thier sorry asses home.
either way if it is for a nice, DD then i say go for the GTO def. try to get an LS2, if you want it more for the strip like i bought my 99 SS for...then get another F-body. But keep in mind that i went 12.10's and 12.20's with my Goat with bolt-ons,mild cam, minor suspension, gears, and DR's. So it is not a slow car by any means. Good luck!
