If for some reason that doesn't work,... go to AutoZone and have em plug her into their handheld through your OBDII port and run a flash diagnostic. Its free so it can't hurt...

BTW,..is your 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON' light on?!

It better be or I would curse out GM for killin the LS1!!! Yeah autozone's scan is free and get a printout while you are at it. Most likely gonna tell you rich condition.

Not nessisarally,.. It won't drop your tune because your tune (if you had a dyno-tune or a brand-tune) isn't layered on-top of your stock tune. So it won't revert back to the stock tune because theres nothing there to revert back to. Disconecting it is basically like deleting a code in a sense. Sometimes,... when you have issues with your MAF its not a bad idea to disconect it all and let it reset.

I forgot to add,.. (and I think this is where I believe I may have misled you Roarin) ... spray your MAF with some cleaner,... it might be dirty and ******* up your MAP.

Yeah that's what I meant. The main thing is, the car is running too much fuel. Like taking a match and putting it in water. Maybe his MAF is bad since the car had this problem for awhile. Any way to test that to see if it's functioning properly?

See,... then somethings up cuz your ECU is reading a code.

Get the code(s)! ,.. write it or all of them (god forbid) down.

They can print it out for him so he won't have to write them down, they also give out the description of the code. Let us know what codes you get.

I forgot the PO code but it should read "PO*** Low Voltage". Honestly tho,.. If he's been running that rich I wouldn't be surprised if he needs to also buy a new set of front O2s and plugs while he's at it. ... He might have completely frag'd em in the process!

Hmm I didn't know that they did printouts. I just knew that they'd scan it for free. ... Interesting!

Hey,... this is gonna sound super weird,... but if you run a PO171 code and says that your run'n LEAN in BANK 1 or 2 ,...even tho you know that your run'n RICH,.. You definatley need to replace those Front O2s and possibly your plugs!

LMAO!! damn you!!! ... ok brotha then thats more than likely what it is,.... Swap BOTH front O2s. Your ECU is being forced to dump more fuel in cuz your front O2s are frag'd and telling your ECU that your run'n lean. Are you run'n Cats or ORY?
