Default FTRA question

I bought a used ftra recently and it didn't come with the extension that goes to the bottom of the car. How will this affect its performance, and should I tey to fabricate the extension? If so what would you use to do it and how would you go about it? and if anyone has any pictures of the extension I would greatly appreciate it.

If Im not mistaken isnt that the most important part of the ftra???? Thats what brings the air up!!! Better check this one out. But I wouldnt fabricate this part, that is the part where it needs to be dont correct so you arent sucking water when it rains (if your car even see's rain). I got the SSRA and I know the bottom of that is REALLY improtant.

the FTRA doesnt extend to the bottom of the car. only down to the bottom or less of the radiator.

Does anyone have any pictures of what this lower piece looks like? I have plenty of sheet metal and a bender for this kind of stuff just wondering what it looks like. Now I know that it comes to the bottom of the radiator so that helps alot. Pics would be extremely helpfull though.

The FTRA will still work without that piece, it will just act more like a cold air intake and less like a ram air intake. I'll try to get pictures of mine tonite or tomorrow. It should be easy for you to re-create.

EDIT:

Thats a pic of the piece that you are missing (the one on the right), from Fast toys website.

i have a FTRA....i cant tell you anything as far as horsepower goes..but i know my 1/4 mile times did not change at all when i took the lower section off of my'n. I had to remove the lower section so i could fit my transmission cooler in front of the condenser. So i dont know its up to you...i dont really think it makes any difference

It doesn't look like that piece really extends all that far down from the main component to make that much of a difference. If what the one guy above says is true I would think I will just leave it alone. Is there something I am missing about the design? do those few inches serve that much of a purpose??
