Default Which is faster?

Well I know you guys probably get these threads all the time, but I figured I would ask it anyway. I am thinking of getting an '02 Camaro SS, but what I want more than a Camaro SS is speed. I am wanting to the fastest car I can get for $15,000 or less. So basically I am wondering what cars would win in these races.

1.) Honda S2000 vs Camaro SS
2.) 300ZX TT vs Camaro SS
3.) GTO 6.0 vs Camaro SS

Thanks for the help.

Yeah we do but thanks for at least pointing that out first......

An '02 SS would be a solid choice and would definately smoke number 1 and 2. Number 3 might not be so good but depends on the cars, drivers and mods I guess.

Ok cool thanks thats all I wanted to know . I went from getting a 300ZX to an S2000 now to a Camaro SS and I think im pretty set on the camaro. The 300ZX were just too high maintaince, and the S2000 is small and not as fast as I hoped.

youll smoke all of those with no problems... except for the GTO. my buddy has an 06 goat but its an auto. we had about 3 solid races with me pulling every single time. plus, the goat doesnt get as good of gas mileage as the fbody. its just the best car... ever

touche!

dude, get an f-body camaro ss. you'll love it. you seem to be on the right track. an s-2000? comon bro. and a 300z... i don't think so. the ls1 is a great engine. as for the 02 camaro against the gto. just personal preference i guess. whichever one looks and feels better to you. although personally, i prefer the camaro ss hands down.

Camaro SS is the fastest of the above cars. My friend with d/r only bone stock 02 SS ran a 12.6 with 17" mickeys only.

assuming all the cars are stock...

the SS or the GTO would be the top cars when it came to speed.

the S2000 would make a good autoX car due to being light and loving to rev

the 300zx could make good power with basic turbo upgrades...but the maintenance would be a nightmare

the LSx platforms make great power out of the box and have decent handling. with simple mods they can make a ton more power.

the LS2 has a bit more potential i would say, but i think the rest of the car hinders it a bit. things like weight and lack of clearance for big tires i think are a bit of a problem.

the LS1 in the SS has nearly the same potential engine wise, but i think it beats the GTO in looks, and race capabilities.

One of the LSx powered cars would be the fastest. If I had to pick between those, it would be the SS hands down. I wouldn't even consider the other cars.

I'd like to see where you can find an 05-06 GTO for 15k or less.

The Honda would be my last choice, I'm not sure how it is compared to the 300ZX TT, but the 300Z has F/I and its gonna be easier to get more power out of than the Honda.

from that list i would go camaro ,Second choice being 300 zx twin turbo .The 300s are actually pretty good running cars from what i have seen with basic mods and up the boost alittle bit .My friends has one and when i was just exhaust and lid we were neck and neck ,But they are A Nightmare to work on .AND im sure you could even find a nicley modded camaro for around 10-15k depending on year model just keep your eyes and ears open .
