Default hypertech problem

I was given a hypertech power programmer to change some things on my
02 b4c . went through the whole deal and then I got this message.

code 6:d
cal not found

and then the unit shut off.
Does anyone know why or what caused this.
did some hunting online and some said b4c may have had
some other program added...anyone know if b4c's had some
sort of tuning ?

Not sure what it really means, but a quick general Google.com search I found the owners manual:

http://www.hypertech.com/get_install...ion.php?iid=48

...go to the top of page 13 and you will see what it says to do.

Peace,
Craig.

No problem buddy.

Do a search on Google.com with this:

hypertech 6d cal not found

...and see what you can find. I've read on a few boards with that search and they said that they had to send them into Hypertech for an update on the software?

Peace,
Craig.

Gee, according to GM Parts Direct.com the first part number is some part of the emmission system- can't find it listed otherwise-

My GM parts manual doesn't break out the B4C PCM seperately- list several variations, Japan emissions, Calif. emissions, GU2 axle, auto, standard- all with the same part number, 12200411

I have wondered about this, because I don't think the police fleet vehicles had to meet all emission regs- I would swear the B4C's I have driven have all been more aggressively tuned from the factory- would love to do a true head-to-head comparison, only swapping the PCM-

I'm going to call hypertech tommorow and see what the deal is
whether or not it will work.
My cousin drove my b4c and he owns a Z28 and he said it seemed
somewhat aggressive...based on how his was before mods
that's basically speculation though.

My b4c has the gu5 on the door 3.23 gears
we'll have too see what hypertech says.

thanks for the responses!!

well it's been a few weeks and still don't have many answers regarding
b4c pcm issues. have done every conceivable search option.

Called hypertech ,explained the code it was throwing....they said what was
already thought...must have a police installed tune.

Hypertech said they'd reload the programmer for 260.00

I know there are some law enforcement camaro owners on here,
does the 2002 b4c have a specific tune....anyone?
and what are the specifics?
