Nitto drag radials
I'm reminded of a saying. If something sounds too good to be true then it probably is. I'm not going to call you a liar but when I ran Nitto 555r's they lasted about 8-10K miles of street/strip use. When I researched Nittos every thread I read said they are good for 6-12K miles depending on how many burnouts you do.
My old friends from Illinois used to get similair mileage from them (8-10K). For a street car that doesn't do any burnouts I could see 15-18K maybe but probably wouldn't feel safe with them in the rain past 10K.
27K is not realistic for anyone to expect. If you poll 100 Nitto users then odds are 90 got less then 10K and the remaining 10 got less then 15K miles. Like I said, I'm not going to call you a liar. But I will say that you are the exception and NOT the rule.

I like them. I just had my second set put on a few weeks ago. Of course (like everyone else has already said) they are much better than a traditional street tire. And it's about a night and day difference when you go from a set of worn out Falkens to some brand new Nitto DRs
I like Nitto DR on the street. I have hit them with over 421 RWHP and a 150 shot and I think they hook pretty good. But for some reason this car(in the sig) seemed to always hook better than my other car(Same year and model) even though it was set up the same.
At the track however, I swear by my M/T street radials. They hook much better then the Nittos did and with far less of a burnout.
Yep my buddy couldn't hook with them after being heated up a few times, they are good until you make serious power.
Anyone here use all 3 or just saying what you've heard? I have... I like my MTs the best. I've noticed that the BFGs don't wear much worse(if any) than the nittos but they do work better and I have driven them in the rain without issue. And driven in the snow. I know I'm hardcore but I used to rock DRs all the time daily driven. The snow sucked though in my BFGs I never drove the Nittos in the snow and I probably won't buy nittos again to try it. I may have to drive my MTs in the snow because you never know out here. My mickeys sit inside now I started getting tired of buying new tires every few months.

I personally like the BFGs better than the Nittos. But my next set will be another set of mickey thompsons. If mileage isn't a concern go with the MTs, or buy another set of wheels and do what I do

Nitto 555r 245/50/16
BFG's 255/50/16
M/T dr's 255/50/16
M/T dr's 275/50/15 currently on my drag wheels
nittos hooked up fine for me on the street and track. handled great in the rain (drove up the parkway in a downpour @ 50mph) and they lasted quite a while for a drag radial- IMO, best all around drag radial. dry burnouts dont tear these up either.
BFGs hooked up pretty good, didnt last long at all, kinda sketchy in the rain and they dont like dry burnouts
M/T's by far the best drag radial ive had for racing, as long as i dont have to drive in the rain. absolutely horrible in the rain. (as in 5th gear @ 50mph step on gas a lil and go sideways..) and they hate dry burnouts; treadwear was faster than the nittos, a lil slower than the bfgs
