LS7 (dry) sump dimensions
Hi
Sorry for long lead-in to my question
I am based in the UK so don't have easy access to an LS7. I am shortly starting a build on an RCR GT40 replica (made in Detroit) powered by an LS7 (which I have also purchased in the US) with Kinsler stack injection and cross over exhausts. This will be connected to a new ZF look-a-like 5 speed transaxle (good for 600bhp) which is manufactured by Quaife in the UK. Quaife are also going to offer an appropriate Bell Housing.
Question. What I need are some basic dimensions of the rear of the LS7 motor, specifically depth and width of (dry) sump and exact positioning and size of the oil filter. Also diameter and number of teeth on the flywheel, size of pressure plate and clutch. This will help with positioning of the starter motor amongs other things (I already have the bolt pattern)
I have trawled various sights hoping to find some engineering drawings or even basic dimensions without luck.
Hopefully one of you Yankee aces will know
Best from this side of the pond
