Default Mileage on LS1

Hi all today I am buying a 2000 Trans Am and it has 77,000 miles on it. Is that decent miles for the car? Also how many miles do you guys have on your LS1's and how good do they run?

yeah that's not bad. How much are you buying it for?
and the ls1's can last pretty long. Depends how it's driven and how hard.

I am buying it for $12,400. I thought it was a pretty good price for a M6. I have been looking for a M6 for a while now. They are really rare it seems and when I do find one usually people are wanting $21-25,000 for them down here in Texas. Also it does not have any upgrades on it so I thought that would be a good sign that maybe it wouldn't have been drove to hard.

you can probably get a better price than that I paid 13,000 for mine its an 02 only had 45,000 miles when I got it

That is an alright price. The WS6's are usually worth more than the Camaro's.
My dad bought his 98 SS with only 20k miles on it for $17,000 but that was about 4 years ago.

bought mine with 51000 miles for 10,800...its a A4 though....now she has 87,000 and i've had no problems what so ever.....all i do is routine stuff....i do think that 12 grand is a bit high for that many miles though.

You can do better than that price... Offer him $11.5 and go from there...

I have 250K miles on my 2000...

99 T/A with 114k, still runs good, needs new bushings, to tighten up the ride a bit, but they will run for a long time if taken care of, I guess that goes with anything though! Thats not a bad price for an M6, I was lookin at one not to long ago and I couldnt get the dealer below 18.5k, they wanted 25k. I say get it, they seem to be going back up in value lately.

I would also agree that the price is a bit high, especially if it is just a Trans Am. Now, if it were a Firehawk, or a more rare Formula WS6, then it might be about that price. But even a Trans Am WS6 isn't worth that much with 77k. I'd offer him around $9,000 for the car if it is clean.

Oh, and my LS1 has 91,900 miles on it, and it still is running like a champ. Good enough that I plan on adding a large cam and full bolt ons in the spring.

Hell that seems like a good price for the miles. I had to pay 17k for my 01 SS m6 with 60k. But it doesnt have a scratch. And it does have 1500 in rims and tires that i kinda think dont go with the car but o well. I have waited like a year to find a manual that was not beat to hell and back.

I bought mine for 4,500 3 years ago with 74,xxx miles on her. The guy thought the motor blew and the tranny went. All it ended up being was a SES light for the cats, and a broken rear end. First mod was a 12 bolt.

I now have 107,xxx and it is still running strong.
