Open headers compared to cutout

Ok, I didnt read everyones posts... But I keep seeing this business about having one cutout and it being quieter... This makes no sence to me... I dont have cutouts on the camaro yet, but have ran them in the past... Who does one cutout... Sure you can on a faked dual exhaust... But the whole incentive to cutouts is to run open headers... One cutout surely does not to that. You have to cut sections out of your Y pipe and install two cutouts aimed down and off to the sides... so those flames stay away from important components (ie o2 wiring and what not) ... So in doing this you will have no difference in sound what-so-ever compared to open headers... And all the same flow comparisons. I know its twice the cost, and implements some ingenuity in welding and fabricating... But come on now... Its the only way!
